A year in review

Wow.  I can’t believe it’s been a whole month since I’ve posted anything new here.  So sorry to those of you who check my site periodically.  Things have been pretty busy around here, as I’m sure they are with you, as well.

I also can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I first arrived here at Keynote.  As I finish up my internship here, I wanted to take a moment to look back at all that God has allowed me to accomplish and contribute here at Keynote over the course of the past 12 months.  It’s pretty amazing, and I have you, my supporters, to thank for allowing and empowering me to be here. I hope you’ll find this entry as fulfilling as I do.

So, take a look with me at the highlights of what has been an amazing year at Keynote for me, and for our ministry..

October 2007
- God faithfully completes my financial support in the form of you and a plethora of other friends and family.  Thank you so much for your willingness to give, allowing me to serve the Lord here!
- God also provides a great apartment for me to live in for the coming year.

November 2007
- I go through Keynote’s new staff/intern training, which enlightens me to the details of how and why Keynote does their ministry, using secular music and personal stories as a platform for sharing the message of Christ.

December 2007
- I complete my first project as part of the Keynote marketing and media teams, the brochure/invitation for the Keynote Women’s Retreat. (more)
- The Boyd Family Band toured in Turkey and Lebanon, performing 21 concerts amidst political unrest.  1500 people indicated making spiritual decisions at their concerts! (more)

January 2008
- I start work on my biggest projects of the year – creating a new interface and design for KeynoteFuel.com and the Keynote Golf Challenge website.

February 2008
- The new Golf Challenge website goes live!  (more)
- I head to New York City with others on our Marketing team for the International Arts Movement conference, an amazing gathering of Christian artists.  An unbelievable experience!  (more) (and more)
- Giants of Silence goes to Mexico City to perform outreach concerts, minister to students, and jump start new ministries on 20 campuses there.

March 2008
- I complete work on KeynoteFuel and it, too, goes live!  (more)
- Blue Sky Nine  tours in Egypt, ministering to the people there, and revealing a new world of ministry opportunities to the Campus Crusade leaders there.

April 2008
- We start brainstorming for the new keynote.org (which, at long last, will be launched in just a couple weeks!)

May 2008
- I help organize Campus Crusade for Christ’s international day of prayer for the Keynote staff.  I and the other new staff and interns put together activities for the day, and I help lead worship to close.
- I become a caddy for a day at Keynote’s annual Golf Challenge fund-raiser in Indy, which, this year, raised nearly $100,000 for our ministry! (more)

June 2008
- I take on my new role as a tour manager for Mangofish, one of Keynote’s student Summer Project bands.
- In addition to constantly making phone calls and sending e-mails to all of Mangofish’s hosts, I run around doing whatever else needs to be done to make Summer Project run smoothly.
- Keynote sends teams to Israel and New Zealand to lead worship and do outreach concerts in both countries.

July 2008
- I embark on a 19-day tour with Mangofish, as they play outreach concerts from here to California and back!  We play for hundreds people and dozens of lives are affected as a result! (more) (and more)

August 2008
- We transition back into the normal swing of things, and for us on the media team, that means re-focusing on keynote.org.
- I begin to discern a new stage of God’s plan for my life, and make the decision to move on from Keynote at the end of my current internship.

September 2008
- I begin work on a number of projects, including a number of projects for the Keynote Vision Dinner and an update of KeynoteFuel.
- Plans fall into place for the Global Music and Arts Ministry Leaders Summit, which will bring together nearly 30 leaders from all corners of the world here in November!

October 2008
- I continue working on the projects I mentioned above, and add to that an interactive map for the new keynote.org site, that will feature information about Keynote’s international partnerships.

As I mentioned in my latest letter, I will post a few updates here in the coming weeks to let you in on my post-Keynote life, and where it takes me.

Thank you, once again, for your support of my ministry here!  It has been so awesome to be a part of the life-changing ministry that Keynote does.  And although my year here is ending, Keynote will, without a doubt, have a life-long impact on me, as well.
